Dorcy’s LED Conversion Bulb

What a great idea is this? Convert your regular incandescent  torch to an LED torch.  Yes, you can… by simply changing the bulb!

Dorcy has a choice of two LED conversion bulbs to suit any 3 cell, 4 cell or 6V lantern, flashlight  or torch.  Now, although the bulbs are not universal and may not be suitable for every torch, it’s still a great way to save money and be a little “greener” in the process.

Why convert a standard torch to be an LED torch?  One of the major advantages of LEDs is the light output and bright beam without the heat generated by incandescent bulbs. Teamed with a longer run time and lower battery power it’s a win/win situation.

Here’s some more…

  • Increased brightness – an LED bulb will dramatically increase the brightness of any incandescent flashlight.
  • Increased run time – LEDs are more efficient than incandescent bulbs.  They produce less heat, which in turn requires less power, extending the run time of batteries; therefore fewer battery changes are required.
  • Never buy a bulb again – 100,000 hours of continuous use.  The Dorcy LED conversion bulb can last up to 10 years; save on the cost of replacement bulbs.  And LEDs remain bright throughout the life of the bulb.
